Tuesday - 3 miles
2nd day of the climate champion programme and I was all exicted to start my training ... just around 18 weeks between now and the marathon .... and the six pack seems distant now ... loads of calories being taken ...but happy to see loads of work being put in by the scientists in handling climate change. End of the day I am very happy to have done my 3 miler ... although I wasnt sure where I was going ... wanted to see the reservoir ... but got lost totally ... excellent by the way ... This is what you call british summer ... :)

Time to give a brief on Climate change programme in Oxford ....
Its been a week and I havent started my diary with oxford memories. The second half of '09 is crucial to me from all angles. I may be stuffing myself with too much to do but confident I can achieve all of them .... Letz c.... everything is now in the wraps ... with them being revealed only at end of the year.
29 June '09: Day 1 @ Oxford
My usual last minute prepartion or fight as I say .... woke up on Monday to see myself unprepared for the coming 2 weeks. Fed my fish with food enough for three / four weeks. I am worried as you should never over feed. Not sure how they are now...fishy sorry just another week from now :( Asked Dave to check on them over the weekend and see if everything is ok. Coming back to the point of my oxford trip ... took the 11:50 train to oxford and reached 1 hour early. Sitting at the platform and killing time... I did notice that there was another gentleman doing the same, Sergey from Armenia 4 hours early .. poor him. I realised he is all set for his presentation whereas my presentation was all up in the air. Representing the GTB team and like's Ian and Bob I realised I have a greater responsibility rather than showing the unprepared me. Took some time and worked out something in the next 30 mins .... Its now in a shape to be presented.
Exactly at 14:00 we had Richard from Earthwatch picking us ... Dr Khalid from India Regional Climate Centre, Jean Marc from Marseille, Helene from Paris, Magda from Poland, Gordon from Malta, Christian from Dusseldorf, Angie from London, Atiya from Manchester, Lynsey from Glasgow. Richard and chloe from earthwatch aswell drove us to the Europe Regional Climate Centre @ Hill end. At the centre we were divided into 2 groups one for moths team under Eleanor and the second trees team under Terhi. After another round of introductions and other procedural briefings from earthwatch it was dinner prep for trees team and time for moths team to set the traps :). From first sights I seem to be the most talkative ... giving sometimes unnecessary inputs but thats the way I have been ;). Its time for a quick dinner as moth team needs to get up at 04:00 .... haa haa haa... I shouldnt be laughing as next week it will be me doing the same. There was another intern working along with earth watch ... Rita ... what is with the gals here .... Terhi .. doing tree research , Eleanor and Rita moths research .... where are the boyssss ???
I think I have put enough about day 1 .... day 2 on another post ....
